"I didn't want to tell the tree or weed what it was. I wanted it to tell me something and through me express its meaning in nature."
-Wynn Bullock
Her peppy black lab leading her along by the leash, she came upon the tree. Not just any old tree – this one happened to wear leaves a brilliant shade of not orange, not yellow, but orange-yellow. The higher half of its boughs empty, the slowly dying thing didn’t look as cold, even with the slightly browning leaves…still brilliant.
What a picture that would make. This she thought once, when this tree still had a full head of fresh autumn leaves. Thought, not much of a photographer, but what a photo. Thought, make a mental note to come back. That was a month ago. Now, here she walks again. Past this same tree with the brilliant leaves. Thinking what a photo that would make.
What potential work of art are you not acting toward?
